This panel will describe ways to incorporate new and existing campus sustainability initiatives into your teaching and service. Topics covered will include the student-led Green Fee Committee, which solicits proposals for campus green projects each academic year; our UIS Climate Action Plan; the UIS Community Garden; the UIS Confluence Lab and UIS Field station opportunities; efforts to improve campus recycling; the UIS Green Theater Initiative; Sustainability Week (in the fall); and Earth Week (in the spring). Professors Styles, Powell, and Hanson will provide examples of ways that you can incorporate these programs into course assignments and student service projects, ways to connect to UI system sustainability networks, and opportunities for supporting sustainability initiatives through your committee work and faculty service.

If you are unable to attend this session, you will be able to access the video recording at the CFE Canvas site

The discussion will take place on Zoom:
