    You are cordially invited to join fellow members of the UIS community in celebrating the opening of a new academic year. Chancellor Koch will offer the Convocation address, and new faculty and senior administrative appointees will be introduced. The formal program begins at 2:30 p.m. in the Student Union Ballroom, and a get-acquainted reception will follow.

    Stop by for some DIY fun. We’ll be making flower pens, pillows, and more to accessorize your body, decorate your room, and showcase your unique style. If they do not already have a resume or cover letter, they can build one using an online tool called OptimalResume. Also, students can get help with using CareerConnect to find internship and job opportunities.
