    This work group session will provide an overview of two internal funding opportunities for faculty research projects. We will explore how to use these grants to help build a research agenda. In addition, the group will practice review of funder guidelines and discuss applicable proposal objectives.

    This session will discuss the organization of advising at UIS, and share some best practices in advising. Additionally, it will demonstrate how students can use the new Advise U app to schedule an appointment with an advisor.     This panel session will help faculty become more familiar with ways that they can make their courses more anti-racist. The panel will explore definitions of excellence, decolonizing the syllabus, dialect and professionalism as well as avoiding implicit bias when creating rubrics.
